Hey, boys–I think we’d all agree that some of the most fun we had together growing up was playing those old Lucasfilm© games: the Monkey Island series, Indiana Jones series, Sam ‘n Max, Day of the Tentacle, etc.
Well, a bunch of college students have been putting together a new Indiana Jones game, almost ready for publication. A downloadable demo is located here. It has the look and feel of the early games we enjoyed.

The Marketocracy site today just announced their most recent “m10″ selections (Top Ten Funds of the 70,000 or so “fantasy” mutual funds that they monitor).
I am in the Top Ten again for (apparently) the 15th month in a row. (These selections are dated as of May 29th–they are apparently still working on a retroactive April selection which would technically be my 14th sequential month).
And I have a second fund that is #61 in the 2-year rankings and #86 in the 3-year rankings.
So…isn’t it ironic that today I lost more real money in the stock market than any single day since I’ve started investing. Excuse me, I have to go jump out a window…
Flickr is a photo-sharing site affiliated with Yahoo. I’m experimenting here a little, so please bear with me.
I’m currently writing this blog entry at the actual Flickr site on the web and I’ve selected a picture that I know is one of son Cody’s favorites. There’s a feature that allows me to just click “Blog This” above the picture, fill in the words you see here, and it’ll post directly to the blog. I’m hoping that the size and quality of the picture will be better than the “thumbnail”-sized ones that I have been posting.
If successful, you’ll be seeing this blog entry and I’ll be enthusiastically endorsing Flickr!

[Update: Ok, I'm over here at the blog site now. I have had to do some minimal editing to the post--there was some awkward spacing, and I resized the picture to make it a little larger. It works, though. Flickr is currently FREE, and it allows you to upload quite a large number of photos to be shared with friends and family around the world. There are other comparable services--Flickr is the one I'm using, and so far I'm pretty pleased.]

Two graduations in two weeks. Both of these young men (and the young lady–Brett’s fiancee Susana) will be attending the University of Nebraska in Lincoln this Fall. Cody will be starting undergrad and Brett will probably start working on a Masters in Political Science. Susie will be working on a Masters in Agribusiness.

You have got to check out Mike Hollingshead’s website. Mike’s a “storm chaser” and has some beautiful pictures of tornadoes he’s photographed in Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri, and Oklahoma. Definitely worth a browse.

At a drunken party I attended recently (well–threw actually), there was some discussion of past songs I had recorded and shared with a few close friends. There was some interest in a song I had done called “My Little Sister” several years ago.

I read about this guy in the Omaha World Herald a day or two ago, was fairly shocked at the story, and then woke up to hear about it on CNN, then on NPR on my drive to work, and today it hit “The Smoking Gun” here. This is a local Nebraska child molester (13-year-old victim) sentenced to probation, because the Judge thought he was too short and might get picked on in jail.
Heck, put him in with Lay and Skilling…
